One Day at a Time
Recently, I have rediscovered the life altering feeling of what it is like to beat your body to bloody pulp on a daily basis. You know the sensation I am talking about, the one where every fiber of muscle tissue is exactly as stable as a bowl of Jello. And when you crawl out of bed in the morning, you hobble to the coffee pot. Quite honestly, I should probably store a cane or, even better a walker with tennis balls on the feet beside my bed.
And while I am on this ”take my muscular system to the kick boxing ring” mission, how about, just for fun, we mix in the “put my digestive through the dish washer” adventure. EPIC! Yes epic, that is exactly the four letter word I was looking for.
I am not 100% positive where my sudden motivation stemmed from. But the other week somewhere between the Bloody Mary’s and fantasy football, I decided it was time to kick my own ass. I mean, I have been on this “let’s (re)try new things” routine for a few months now, so why not!
And now we are back to your regularly scheduled program,
People, there are spreadsheets and apps!
I can import and export and track my progress simultaneously. I am an “instant gratification took too long” kind of girl. So the fact that I can observe charts, graphs and numbers daily with real time results, makes me swoon.
A scale you ask, really? I just upgraded to 3 bath towels. And I am okay with that (for the moment).
Although my end goal is not yet clear, I am focusing on the daily goals. And for me as an individual that is how I need to view it to be successful. So, I am proud of my minute achievements, and I will stick to what is working for the moment.

So true. Without instant feedback of my (pathetic) performance, exercise is lost on me. Hoping I can find my motivation again soon as the scale just keeps tipping upward. Keep up the good work Susan, you are a champion!
Thanks, Ted. Somedays, like today, it takes all I can do to motivate myself.
